The u.s. military - being used by Exxon mobile and other big oil companies as a private - in cahoots with Cheney (and with the blessings of Hillary, Biden, and Kerry), bombs and kills 180 thousand Iraqi civilians, ignores Geneva Convention and tortures prisoners, prevents certain people from ‘running for puppet government positions’, rounds up thousands of men, nightly terrorizing homes 'searching' for 'insurgents', and now causes civil war in Iraq. Both democrats and republicans alike are complicit in the genocide of Iraqi peoples by the large u.s. oil companies using the u.s. military to “liberate” mideast Iraqi oil so that the seemingly lazy and apathetic citizenry back home can drive to work in their pollution-causing, gas guzzling SUV’s.Nuremberg-type trials need to take place to see which u.s. gov’t officials (i.e. president, vice president, senators, cabinet members, etc.) are guilty of ‘war’ crimes - although their has been no official ‘declaration’ of “war” by the u.s. against the tiny, helpless country of Iraq.

Iraq, like Vietnam - where Michelin tire company and big oil vied for rubber trees and off-shore oil wells - is virtually defenseless against the large military complex of the u.s. but manages a respectable guerrilla warfare to maintain some semblance of dignity.A ‘non-declaration of war’ (in the minds of government officials) ‘allows’ the government to detain indefinitely and torture prisoners, exempting captors from charges of prisoner abuse, torture, and other human rights violations – including murder. The 1948 genocide convention and Geneva Conventions were created specifically to prevent Hilter-type abuses and tortures of all human beings, including the likes of Senator John McCain. The current human rights violations of “detainees” and “enemy combatants” must now stop. The primary propagandical excuse for allowing the newly concocted labels of Arab and Persian freedom-fighters who struggle to defend their homelands as “detainees/terrorists/enemy combatants” is that they don’t fight “fair” and wear “uniforms.”

Question: If someone a million times stronger than you with a million times more efficient and available bombs strafes your neighborhood from above and kills a thousand innocent citizens with one swipe – is it “OK” because they had a uniform on?Over 179 thousand Iraqi non-military, non-combatant, non-fighting citizens (as of November 2005) have been killed so far by u.s. bombs and artillery, while only a mere 2,300 u.s. soldiers – all well-equipped, ready, and willing for killing – have lost their lives for the profits and enormous deposits into the big oil executive bank accounts.Even so-called liberals like Noam Chompsky sanction the corporate cry that smaller, weaker, countries (generally people of color) “should not have nuclear anything” – and evidently can’t be trusted like “white people” or “americans” can with their nukes. This despite the fact that only the u.s. has dropped atom bombs on hundreds of thousands of Japanese family members not long ago. Is it true, then, that all americans are of the belief that “might makes right.” If so, does this then justify 9-11?This corrupted and racist attitude displayed by americans is typical of the current “demo-publican” excuses as they fuel their SUV’s with what is left of depleting mideast oil. Blaming the victim seems the status quo of america as they destroy others for their possessions – usually in the name of “god.”It is not too late! Speak up at your church, your coffee shop, your place of employment – contact your legislators. Join the informed, educated, honest, peaceful, and heaven-going by shouting “u.s. out of mideast!”

“There is nothing to fear but fear itself.”

Car-bombings, suicide attacks, and hostile fire from growing segments of the population have culminated in an insurgency as serious as any since Vietnam; and the country seems to grow less secure by the day.
Between 200 thousand by Iraqi estimates and 30 thousand (Bush testimony; translates to over 20 innocent Iraqis per day over last four years) Iraqi citizens have died - mostly by u.s. overhead bombs since the u.s. invasion/occupation.
Over 75% of Iraqis polled are strongly opposed to the presence of u.s. troops, who are occupying their lands for the big oil company executives (like Exxon Mobil) personal bank accounts.
Withdrawing u.s. military troops (the personal security forces for Exxon Mobil) from Iraq - and the entire mideast oil fields) is the just and honorable solution to an unjust and genocidal war. War crimes tribunals must be held to bring Bush and his administration in front of an independent court to see if genocide "war crimes" charges can be brought.
It is time to withdraw all u.s. troops to avoid causing more American and Iraqi casualties. The good people of the world MUST now shout:
US. OUT OF MIDEAST!!

Cheney Drunk During Shooting?
API

See petition to “Outlaw Hunting ‘Drunk’ and Using Birdshot’” at:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/623004904

The shooting victim, Harry Whittington, refused to give a statement to law enforcement officials, saying his voice was to raspy. Surprisingly, the sheriff’s department allowed this abnormal behavior – paving the way for Whittington to ‘huddle’ with the vice-president’s camp and attempt to rectify the prevailing discrepancies in their story.

In the Fox News interview, Cheney said the best witness was the ranch owner lady – who later stated she only seen the commotion form a distance of about 100 yards. The ranch owner said on national television that at first thought that Cheney had suffered a heart attack. She went on to say that when she approached and seen that it was Whittington, both he and Cheney were conversing. She would later state – over 18 hours later, that Whittington had merely been “peppered” by shot beebees and made it sound as if it was a minor hunting incident.

But on Fox, Cheney said when he approached Whittington, he (Whittington) was too stunned to respond. It appears Cheney, the ranch owner, and the shooting victim will have to get together for their ‘statement huddle’ and hammer out a similar accounting of what went down.

Blood alcohol content tests were prevented from being given to vice president Dick Cheney following the shooting of hunter. A sheriff’s deputy attempted to take the tests late Monday night but was prevented access to interview and test the vice president.

Hunters such as Cheney have historically decimated bald eagle populations as the lead beebees of spent birdshot injure many migratory birds that do not immediately hit the ground, which are later often eaten by bald eagles - causing lead poisoning and slow death for both birds. The shooting incident will serve as a wake up call to americans to outlaw “birdshot” and alcohol consumption during hunting.

Cheney said while sober on Fox News Wednesday in his attempt to downplay “Cheney-gate” that the other hunter was down in a gully with just the upper part of the body visible when Cheney fired the shot - but that the sun inhibited his view. But if it was 3 or 4 in the afternoon, the sun would be above him - not on the horizon.

Cheney was drinking at the time, as he admitted on fox news, which is evidently why he waited for the alcohol to dissipate from his system 20 hours later when he met with law enforcement authorities.

Also, the fact that he did not even go to the hospital with his friend once shot 'to be with him' during his time of need seems to prove that he did not want to be alcohol-tested at the hospital. Some say this ‘evidence’ may lead to a congressional investigation for breach of power, skirting the law, failing to take a drug/alcohol test following the commission of a felony or misdemeanor, and reckless endangerment.

Should the corporate/government ‘kings and queens’ get away with ‘murder’ as they pillage the world for profits is a question being asked by many fed up with Washington DC corruption, lies, and mismanagement – as evidenced by the tragedy for oil in Iraq, the lack of response for Katrina hurricane victims, lobbyist fiascos, and the outing of CIA agents.

But the Kenedy County Sheriff's Department closed its investigation of the shooting on Thursday without filing any charges. The department released an incident report that supported accounts from the ranch owner and Cheney – although the two reports conflict greatly and no statement has been recorded by the shooting victim (who was released Thursday) prior to the presumed, upcoming ‘huddle.’

ESPN Expert Hockey Commentator, Barry Melrose,
Reveals His NHL All-Star Picks

February 9, 2006

Because of this year's Winter Olympics held in Turin, Italy, there will be no NHL All-Star game. However, if there WAS to be an NHL All-Star game, ESPN's expert NHL commentator has these suggestions.

The Eastern Conference would have Martin Gerber in goal, while the Western Conference would consist of super star center, Joe Thornton. Thornton was traded in December from the Boston Bruins to the San Jose Sharks to lead the team - and currently the entire NHL - in assists since then. Thornton has lifted Sharks right winger, Jonathon Cheechoo, to record the most goals of all NHL players during the month of December. Cheechoo also recorded a 12 game point streak during December and January and is currently the fifth highest goal scorer in the NHL with 34 goals.

Star forward, Steve Sullivan, of the Nashville Predators was selected as this year's Western Division All-Star "right winger." He was selected by Melrose just ahead of Cheechoo, who recently recorded his first NHL hatrick (3 goals in one game) as an NHLer - only to record two more in a six week period.

Melrose, former player and NHL coach of hockey great Wayne Gretsky, made his choice known Thursday night on ESPN.

San Jose Wins Second In Row
February 11, 2006
With one more contest prior to the Olympic break, the Sharks seem to have found their game, winning their last two, including 6-3 route of the Dallas Stars Friday night before a packed HP Pavilion. Jonathan Cheechoo and Milan Michalek led the way with two tallies each and Joe Thornton added a three-point night along with a four-assist night by Patrick Marleau. Michalek scored the game-winning tally and added an empty-netter.Cheechoo's first goal was one that surprised even the goal scorer. On the play, Cheechoo was spun around in the slot with his back to Marty Turco. Joe Thornton threw the puck to the slot and it bounced off Cheechoo's skate and in. Every fan in the building began celebrating, as did all the Sharks on the ice - except Cheechoo.

The superstar Sharks right winger, Cheechoo, was recently signed by the Sharks to a five year, believed to be $10 million dollar contract. He currently leads his NHL western division in goals and is currently the fifth highest goal scorer in the entire NHL with 35 goals.

Cheechoo recently logged the most goals of all NHL players during the month of December 2005 and also recorded a team high record 12 game point scoring streak during December/January.

On his first goal last night, Cheechoo stated, "I knew it hit my foot, but I was looking in my skates for it," said Cheechoo. "Everyone started celebrating, so I figured it went in. It was the first goal off my skate in a long time. It's nice to get one of those once in a while." Cheechoo scored a more conventional power play goal to begin the second period. Team Teal scored with seven seconds remaining in the advantage and the puck did not leave the zone the entire time. "I was so open and they were so tired," said Cheechoo. "Joe (Thornton) made a nice pass and I had about five seconds to shoot." "That was a big power play," said Marleau. "Ekman, Joe and Cheechoo did a good job getting the loose pucks. When you get the loose pucks and keep the puck in, something has to give." "Everyone was getting the puck deep and keeping it away from Turco," said Cheechoo.
San Jose has one contest left prior to the Olympic break and they will attempt to run their winning streak to three games. "We have one more game left," said Marleau. "We are feeling good, but it is a big game Sunday."
Dallas put up the game's first goal, only to see the Sharks retaliate with five consecutive tallies. "I thought we outplayed them, even in the first when they scored," said Cheechoo. "We had an edge and battled back after their goal." "We worked hard from the get-go and I didn't see our team flinch," said Wilson. "Our young D played really well and we need that through the lineup. On the penalty kill, we have the guys we want now."

Cheechoo's Hat Trick – the third in six weeks -
Propels Sharks To Victory

http://www.sjsharks.com/news/news.asp?story_id=2080

February 1, 2006
San Jose used a hat trick by Jonathan Cheechoo to topple the Anaheim Ducks 6-4 in an important Pacific Division contest that saw the Sharks take two valuable points in the playoff race. Fifteen seconds into a Jonathan Cheechoo penalty Anaheim struck. Selanne used a quick deke to get by a Sharks forward and then was alone with Nabokov. He unleashed a bomb that clanged off the post and in for the 1-0 lead. With the first period winding down, Cheechoo took a beautiful feed from Joe Thornton across the crease and banged home the one-timer to even the contest. Anaheim looked to take the lead back moments later when Selanne was sprung on a breakaway, but Nabokov won the battle with a poke check, keeping the game even. Marleau took his crack at giving San Jose their first lead when Niko Dimitrakos feed him to the side of the net, but Bryzgalov made the stop. Just as soon as that stop was made, San Jose had another shot waived off. A Cheechoo shot was redirected by Nils Ekman to the back of the net. The ruling on the ice was no goal and while the video replay showed the tally could have counted, the original ruling stood. San Jose would have a chance to tie the contest on a tripping call to Vitaly Vishnevski against Michalek and that is exactly what they did. Sitting to the right of Bryzgalov as he was on his first tally, Cheechoo took a nice feed from Dimitrakos at the blasted in the one-timer to tie the contest. It seemed that Anaheim was on the power play for most of the second period as with five minutes to go in the second period, the Ducks had recorded six power plays, but thanks to Nabokov, the game remained tied at two. San Jose looked to respond right away. First Ekman strode into the Anaheim zone and let a shot go, and then Joe Thornton had a good opportunity. That was followed by a boarding penalty to Scott Niedermayer against Cheechoo, putting San Jose up a man. Despite several strong chances, Bryzgalov stopped every effort. When play returned to even strength, a blind pass by Joe Thornton set up Ekman in the slot, but Bryzgalov was there again with a save. It was the special teams play of San Jose that would give them their second lead of the night. This time Joe Thornton set up in his usual spot on the wing before sending a smooth pass to Preissing near the top of the far faceoff circle. His one-timer was in the net before the Ducks netminder could slid across, making the score 4-3 with less than seven minutes remaining. With just more than three minutes remaining, Cheechoo struck again. Skating down the right wing, he unleashed a cannon toward the net that snuck in short side, giving San Jose a bit of breathing room.In the final moments of the game, and with the Ducks goalie pulled for an extra attacker, Cheechoo nearly scored a fourth goal but his shot went just to the right of the net as three Mighty Duck players thwarted his efforts.3 FOR HIS BEST Cheechoo’s’ first goal gave him 29 for a new career best. Then his second gave him his first 30-goal campaign. The third marked his second hat trick of the season against Anaheim and his third three-goal game in six weeks, a remarkable hat trick every two weeks – a feat virtually unheard of in professional hockey.

Spirituality vs Religion
Having heard about "god" all my childhood (but not really ‘practicing’ religion), it took many years of study of Grand Mother Earth and Grand Father Sky called "All That Is” (Wakan Tanka “Great Mystery” in Nakota [misnomer "Sioux"] language) to shed the confusion brought forth unto myself by the man-made concept initiated a mere 10 thousand years ago.
What is so interesting about appreciation of Earth and Sky is that you can begin to see how pollution works, how oppression happens, how the absurd becomes the norm in societies, such as currently affecting/infecting the american family today.
Book religions were created by humans after the invention of the domestication of animals and money - where greed and then slavery came from. Today, this ‘system’ of greed translates into low wage, Exxon control of society (murder for oil policies by the demo-publicans) and mass confusion/control.
Grand Mother Earth is forgotten so as to facilitate the male-dominating society created so a few rich can keep their bank accounts expanding. She becomes a “globe” or “planet”, and her grandchildren then lost.
But the basic necessities of life (such as Mini [Nakota] “My Life” or “Water”) once re-cherished by humanoids can allow a person to see through the confusion and keep them;
a) Thankful
b) Sober
c) Respectful
and most importantly...
d) HAPPY!!!!
