Cheney Drunk During Shooting?

The shooting victim, Harry Whittington, refused to give a statement to law enforcement officials, saying his voice was to raspy. Surprisingly, the sheriff’s department allowed this abnormal behavior – paving the way for Whittington to ‘huddle’ with the vice-president’s camp and attempt to rectify the prevailing discrepancies in their story.

In the Fox News interview, Cheney said the best witness was the ranch owner lady – who later stated she only seen the commotion form a distance of about 100 yards. The ranch owner said on national television that at first thought that Cheney had suffered a heart attack. She went on to say that when she approached and seen that it was Whittington, both he and Cheney were conversing. She would later state – over 18 hours later, that Whittington had merely been “peppered” by shot beebees and made it sound as if it was a minor hunting incident.

But on Fox, Cheney said when he approached Whittington, he (Whittington) was too stunned to respond. It appears Cheney, the ranch owner, and the shooting victim will have to get together for their ‘statement huddle’ and hammer out a similar accounting of what went down.

Blood alcohol content tests were prevented from being given to vice president Dick Cheney following the shooting of hunter. A sheriff’s deputy attempted to take the tests late Monday night but was prevented access to interview and test the vice president.

Hunters such as Cheney have historically decimated bald eagle populations as the lead beebees of spent birdshot injure many migratory birds that do not immediately hit the ground, which are later often eaten by bald eagles - causing lead poisoning and slow death for both birds. The shooting incident will serve as a wake up call to americans to outlaw “birdshot” and alcohol consumption during hunting.

Cheney said while sober on Fox News Wednesday in his attempt to downplay “Cheney-gate” that the other hunter was down in a gully with just the upper part of the body visible when Cheney fired the shot - but that the sun inhibited his view. But if it was 3 or 4 in the afternoon, the sun would be above him - not on the horizon.

Cheney was drinking at the time, as he admitted on fox news, which is evidently why he waited for the alcohol to dissipate from his system 20 hours later when he met with law enforcement authorities.

Also, the fact that he did not even go to the hospital with his friend once shot 'to be with him' during his time of need seems to prove that he did not want to be alcohol-tested at the hospital. Some say this ‘evidence’ may lead to a congressional investigation for breach of power, skirting the law, failing to take a drug/alcohol test following the commission of a felony or misdemeanor, and reckless endangerment.

Should the corporate/government ‘kings and queens’ get away with ‘murder’ as they pillage the world for profits is a question being asked by many fed up with Washington DC corruption, lies, and mismanagement – as evidenced by the tragedy for oil in Iraq, the lack of response for Katrina hurricane victims, lobbyist fiascos, and the outing of CIA agents.

But the Kenedy County Sheriff's Department closed its investigation of the shooting on Thursday without filing any charges. The department released an incident report that supported accounts from the ranch owner and Cheney – although the two reports conflict greatly and no statement has been recorded by the shooting victim (who was released Thursday) prior to the presumed, upcoming ‘huddle.’
